Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 20, 2026
1. Purpose of FloodLine
FloodLine is provided to help residents and staff report flooding, blocked drains, road damage, and related infrastructure issues. Reports may be submitted through the web form, SMS, uploaded photos, map selections, address search, or location data.
2. Not an Emergency Service
FloodLine is not an emergency service and should not be used for emergencies, life-threatening situations, crimes in progress, or urgent public safety threats. For emergencies, call 911 or the appropriate emergency response number.
3. Your Responsibilities
You agree to submit reports that are accurate to the best of your knowledge and lawful to provide. Do not submit false reports, harassing content, private information about others that is not relevant to the infrastructure issue, or photos that you do not have permission to share.
4. Permission to Use Submissions
By submitting descriptions, SMS messages, photos, addresses, coordinates, map pins, or other report information, you grant the organization operating FloodLine permission to use, store, review, route, reproduce, and share that information as reasonably needed to evaluate reports, create work orders, coordinate response, improve services, and maintain records.
5. SMS Terms
By opting in to SMS updates — either by checking the "Send me text updates about this report" box on the report form or by texting FloodLine directly — you consent to receive recurring SMS messages related to your report, including status changes, department assignments, resolution notifications, and requests for additional information. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Delivery of SMS messages is not guaranteed.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for support information. For questions, contact FloodLine support or visit our Privacy Policy.
6. No Guarantee of Outcome
FloodLine may help route reports and provide status information, but it does not guarantee response times, repairs, inspections, resolution, availability, or uninterrupted operation. Report handling may depend on staffing, weather, funding, jurisdiction, severity, duplicate reports, and operational priorities.
7. Prohibited Use
You may not misuse FloodLine, interfere with its systems, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or overload the service, submit malicious files, impersonate others, or use the service for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or unrelated purposes.
8. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated as FloodLine evolves. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the updated terms.
